An erstwhile lecturer in Higher Education, an art writer and critic, she has published,exhibited and lectured internationally on subjectivity and identity. In recent years she has focussed painting, exploring through mediums and techniques, relations of difference analagous to human and social relationships.

    Kelly Boyle works with an automatic drawing process, allowing freedom to explore playfully whilst connecting to different levels of emotion and consciousness. Predominantly using ink, acrylics, and pyrography. The collections change organically with the artists' personal experiences, reflecting their inner world and what is absorbed within external surroundings.

    I am a Redcar raised photographer who seeks meaning in the mundane. I prefer black and white photography , but not exclusively. I use any camera I have to hand working with Fuji X-H1, Pro 1, X-E1, Canon 200D, 5D mkiii, and film photography using the Canon AE-1, Prakitka and the medium format plastic fantastic Holga 120N.     I have been making work in ceramics for over 30 years. My most recent work explores my personal history as a gay man growing up in the 1970's and 80's and discovering queer artists and creatives that helped me to shape who I am. I am currently based in Liverpool where I also run a ceramics studio called Baltic Clay.
