    A recent MA Graduate interested in colour and the way light, movement and scale change perception of colour. Inspired by the principles of Reuse/Recycle, Permaculture Gardening, I'm a 'magpie', exploring 'something from nothing', time passing during a process. Each body of work I produce is varied but I'm looking at the same factors; how colour and light affects (inside/outside) materials.

    Having been an artist since I was little, I practised properly as a professional artist since 2020. I studied at Dumfries and Galloway college doing Art and Design at HND level I went on to study at home on self portraits, I practise daily my technique and my love for the female form. I was a model between 16-25 years old, and have the same outlook that the female body is beautiful.

    My material-led practice includes sculpture, textiles and painting. I studied Sculpture at Chelsea College of Art, and History of Art & French at UCL. I have exhibited in the UK and Ireland, received funding from Arts Council England, and was a Lead Artist on Artichoke’s national artwork Processions in 2018.

    Chris' fine art seeks to bring the colours and mystery of other realms. His work is playful and joy filled with an overemphasis of light. Chris studied Art with Theology at Chester College and has exhibited in Chester and Cambridge and worked as an artist in residence with Chelmsley Wood Baptist Church.     Emily Joy (UK, 1982) is a socially and environmentally engaged artist making sculpture, installation, and performative work. Emily is also a ceramic sculpture tutor and facilitates public creative projects as half of creative partnership ‘Periscope’. Currently exploring Swiss glacial melt and associated ecological and social impacts, her practice centres around communication, empathy and ecology.

    My interdisciplinary practice stems from a fascination with the intersections between art and science; especially in relation to the body. Recent interests have turned to the posthuman body, investigating ideas around symbiosis, sympoiesis and speculative futures, re/imagining how bodies may adapt/evolve through learning from and with our non-human counterparts.
