    Rhiannon Kendall is a Contemporary Artist and Poet, Prison Teacher and Freelance Art Workshop Facilitator who lives and works in York, North Yorkshire, UK (b. 1996). Drawing, Painting, Poetry and Spoken word are all central to the Artist's practice. Rhiannon's work is often inspired by her experiences of being a queer woman from a working class council estate and mining village background.

    I am a London-based artist working across analogue and digital processes to explore connections between labour, race and technology. My interest in animation techniques, theory and practice has influenced a current body of work that uses computer generated images (CGI) and film.     I have always loved liminal moments and have spent a lot of my art career trying to grasp, express, explore it and what I understand that to mean. It surfaces in landscape, moments of beauty; melancholy perhaps and in the figure as moments of being slightly removed, distant, ambiguous. Consequently I don't feel constrained to a particular medium and am happy with paint, photography print and clay

    My work is mainly mixed media, using acrylics, inks and home made collage papers. For me I love the whole process of creating art. I have a very basic idea of where I want to go, because I work intuitively, that often changes as I work through the process, which for me is the fun part.
