    Embroiderer and wordsmith, Catherine Hill is a multi-award-winning contemporary textile artist based in the UK. Her artistic vision is drawn from her childhood memories growing up in the English county of Lancashire in the 1970’s.     Simon Le Boggit is a UK based multimedia artist focusing on the distillation of “meaning” from chaos. His recent works have resulted in the creation of mesmeric algorithmically generated surround-sound musical compositions and abstract videos capable of evoking unexpected waves of emotion and moments of “apparent intentionality”. His works have appeared in exhibitions and festivals worldwide.

    My work revolves around topics on being female within urban and public spaces, how we move through these spaces, and how we as women are affected in a world that has been built for a very a masculine way of life. I use the term psycho-vandalism to explore how catcalling and the potential of unwelcome altercations reshapes our experience of being in, and using public space.

    I live in Knaresborough where I have a home studio. I graduated in Fine Art Painting at Wimbledon School of Art with a postgraduate at Goldsmiths University, London. I also studied printmaking at the Curwen Print Study Centre receiving my diploma from Sir Stanley Jones. I have exhibited at The Royal Academy of Art, The Society of Women Artists, and The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour.

I have won public funding from state bodies such as Arts Council of Ireland, Arts & Humanities Research Board UK, and Irish Research Council. My work is held in public collections including Arts Council of Ireland; Allied Irish Bank; GE Aviation; and AXA Insurance.
