    I am an artist and musician, sometimes combining both by playing soundscapes on the hammer dulcimer and hurdy gurdy within a gallery exhibition. I am currently working with Stroke Clubs to create digital banners of their work with me in workshops. I recently recovered from losing the use of my left arm and hand by creating paintings and music with the left hand.

    Sarah McAlister has just finished studying MA Textiles at The University for the Creative Arts and focuses her practice on re-using found materials. Her work is made in response to places and events she has experienced. Her ethos as a textile artist is to recycle, re-use and re-purpose existing resources meaning that her pieces are made entirely from found objects and fabrics.

    I have been painting and exhibiting since 1998 and spent 12 years in Vietnam where I owned a gallery. I am so happy to be back in my native Yorkshire.     Ross’ practice is centred around nature in an urban environment, a sense of place, utilising and repurposing found and recycled materials are key to both sustainability & minimising my artistic footprint.
