    I am an artist and musician based in Birmingham with interests in pattern, organisation, liminality and varying modes of perception and control. My practice was almost exclusively focused on abstract drawing until 2017, when I began seeking new ways to engage with and develop these concepts.

    I run a multidisciplinary practice working in textiles, drawing and painting. My artist lead work is inspired by natural form; intuitively driven and grown over long hours in the studio, it aims to capture the sensuality, tenacity and evolution of natural plant forms.     Originally from Essex I have lived in The North East since 2008 with my daughter who has physical disabilities and emotional issues. I originally did a degree in textiles at Wolverhampton University in the 1990's but studied for an MA in Fine Art in 2020 at Teesside University.     I'm Mont Carver, a visual artist passionate about storytelling through mixed media. I studied film in Mexico City and took an arts course in Madrid. Currently, I'm pursuing a master's degree in professional photography. I also work as a video editor.
