    I exhibited at Modern Art Oxford Open Exhibition, Angel Row Gallery Nottingham and Oscar Wilde Rooms Oxford. Film work curated at Brighton Digital Festival, Borderless Lockdown and Kings Cross Film Festival 2022. I studied graphic design and illustration online at UAL.     My mixed-media practice is influenced by science and often draws inspiration from my Dutch/Brazilian heritage. It aims to encourage the viewer to question knowledge and value systems by teasing their cognitive senses. Since graduating from Goldsmiths in 2004 I have exhibited in galleries, museums and alternative venues across the UK and done residencies in France, Holland and Finland.

    After a long career in the arts, Fran is now based in North Cornwall and has returned to painting. She has been a professional artist since 2020. Lockdown provided an opportunity to deepen her practice with online tutors and she completed a year-long in person course at Newlyn School of Art in 2023.

    I am Mélanie, a resin and quartz artist, a mother and a lover of new experiences. Parallel to my teaching career, and craving more, I trained as a Holistic Crystal Therapist, healing with the energy of crystals, and learned in art workshops in Lima, Peru. Honoring my desire to create and heal all beings who seek it, I decided to change careers and fully devote myself to art and its emotions.

    As an artist and crafts person most of my adult life in a variety of disciplines, in the past 20 years I have been concentrating on working in two different areas.. CERAMICS creating mosaic pictures using my hand painted ceramic tiles, which are fired before breaking to create the design. and POLYMER CLAY, producing jewellery and recently miniature land and seascapes.
