My latest paintings “The Sacred Mountain’ offer the viewer a journey into a place between worlds, bathed in the light of the moon, they are steeped in stillness and a connection to something ancient within the land and ourselves.

    Janey is a landscape painter, using charcoal, pastel and watercolour crayons. She is influenced by contours of the landscape, ancient monuments, historical field patterns and modern farming, old estate maps and archaeological drawings.     I'm an Artist & Qualified Art Teacher based in Leeds with a master's in Contemporary Fine Arts Practices. My work is inspired by African Art, Rastafarian Culture, and Roots Reggae. I've received the Edna Lumb Travel Scholarship and the Black Achievers Award.
