I'm Lucy, an artist based in Derby. I love to paint realistically in oils and acrylic, and dabble in mixed media. Nature is a huge source of inspiration and I also find challenging but rewarding to paint portraits and attempt to capture someone's personality in the painting.

Based in Derbyshire, I work full time and pursue my passion for art in my spare time, especially painting realistic pieces in oils and acrylics. I also like to experiment with mixed media and semi-abstract styles to loosen me up, but this doesn't form a significant proportion of my portfolio or time. Subject matter can vary, but I am often inspired by nature due to interesting or contrasting colours, character, patterns, reflections or just the beauty of a scene. I also fine it rewarding to paint portraits and try to capture someone's personality in a painting. More recently I have started dabbling in digital art and enjoy the freedom that it brings.
