LKGlassHouse Lancashire, United Kingdom
At LKGlassHouse, I explore nature’s forms through stained glass, balancing structure with spontaneity. My work often blends a darker edge with a sense of play, reflecting contrasts found in the natural world. Light brings each piece to life, shifting its mood throughout the day and creating an ongoing dialogue with its surroundings.
My practice combines traditional methods with a more intuitive design approach. I start with hand-drawn sketches based on natural forms, then translate them into patterns for cutting and assembling glass. Each piece is built slowly, allowing space for spontaneous decisions in colour and composition. I sometimes work with recycled or antique glass to introduce texture and depth. The physicality of the process—cutting, grinding, soldering—grounds me in the material, while light and reflection keep the work alive and in motion.
