Phantasmal Gallery is looking for GOTHIC style artwork of all mediums for a online exhibition.

Art is often used as an outlet for stress, anxiety, depression, and many other mental health conditions. This month, we are celebrating surrealism for the incredible creative escape it provides.

About Us:

Phantasmal Gallery is an hybrid art gallery dedicated to the celebration of horror, oddities, and all things macabre.

We were founded in 2023 by Daisy-Drew Smith, after graduating from Bath Spa University.

Smith realised quite quickly that there were not nearly enough publications or gallery spaces that celebrate horror and the uncanny.

Therefore deciding to create their own space for artists to share their macabre and haunting work to.

Our mission is to create a space to share art and experiences that challenge the boundaries of the normal and introduce the world to the beauty of the strange.

Being a hybrid gallery means that we put on exhibitions online and in physical gallery spaces.

We try to run an open call and exhibition every month! Look out for announcements on our Instagram.

The Questions We Ask:

You may have noticed the question section of our open calls or artist profiles. We love to ask our artists what interests them.

As a fan of TV and Movies, I find they constantly influence my practice. I find it incredibly interesting to see what artists watch and love, whether they know it or not, it seems to always influence their practice.

And if you didn't notice, we do LOVE horror here, so of course we are going to ask the important question...Do you like scary movies?

We always had our little Q&A's at the end of your artist page so viewers can get a special insight into what inspires you.

Our mission is to create a space to share art and experiences that challenge the boundaries of the normal and introduce the world to the beauty of the strange.

We strive to create a space that fosters creative expression and celebrates unique voices in the world of horror and surreal-inspired art.

If you are a fan of these themes, take a look at our gallery and see what we have to offer.

This month's theme:

'Where's Your Head at?' , so we are looking for dreamlike art with a focus on mental state, for our March online gallery exhibition.

For this exhibition, we are looking for a £5 contribution when accepted.

We will use this for advertising the gallery, website upkeep, etc.

The exhibition will be hosted online on our official website; the gallery will go live on the 5th May, 2025.

If you are chosen to take part in the exhibition, your work will go live on our website as part of the exhibition.

Your work will be part of your very own artist page, with your bio/artist statement, artist Q&A's and links to your socials. Y

our work will also be posted on our Instagram, along with an artist introduction.

You will be asked to collaborate with us on this post. However, this is optional if you would prefer just to be tagged or if you are not on Instagram.

We also make video highlights for our exhibitions, which you have the chance to be featured in.

These get posted on our Instagram and TikTok. Our aim is to boost artists via social media and use our website to showcase your wonderful artwork.

We strive to make a community of artists using our social media to support fellow makers.
