Call for entries for an International Photography Exhibition. This exhibition in December will be a photography exhibition with the theme Purple. Free to submit, open to everyone.
The Glasgow Gallery of Photography is running an exhibition in December called Purple.
This is the third part of our secondary colour series, in which we ask photographers to submit images that focus on one of the secondary colours.
For this exhibition the focus will be on the colour Purple. We want to see images that really showcase the colour purple in your photography, whether that is in nature or an urban setting, in a portrait or still life, any style/genre of photography is welcome as long as it fits the theme of Purple.
Purple is an open call for photographers to submit up to 8 images.
Photographers who are selected will have their work displayed in a month-long exhibition in our gallery which receives, on average, over 500 visitors every month, and will also have their work appear online, via our social media (13K followers on Instagram) and in an online gallery on our website (approx. 75K visitors a year).
All participants who are selected to take part in the exhibition will receive a digital certificate of participation and will also be put forward for a chance to be named Photographer of the Month (PotM).
If named PotM your work will be highlighted on our social media and website and will be part of an end of year zine showcasing the work of the 12 photographers named Photographer of the Month that year, you will also receive a free copy of the zine.
Any work selected can be listed for sale during the exhibition. Please visit our website for more information.
We want to see work from both emerging and established photographers.
You do not need to be a professional photographer to participate, as we believe that photography is for everyone and exhibiting your work is a great way of developing your practice and helping you towards the next stages of your learning or career goals.
How to participate:

This fee covers the cost of everything. We will print, install and un-install the work in our gallery space.
