Fragment Collective invites you to explore the limitless possibilities of paper-based media, from collage and assemblage to drawing and printmaking. This exhibition seeks works that reimagine the familiar, delving into the uncanny, otherworldly, and surreal, using paper as a medium to transform reality and create new, alternative worlds.

We are looking for physical artworks that fit into one of the following categories;

Unnatural Selection;

What happens when nature rewrites its own rules — This theme invites artists to explore biological strangeness and the fluidity of form.

Think hybrid organisms, unexpected anatomies, and speculative evolutions that defy binary thinking.

Reimagine bodies that blend species, transcend gender, or exist outside of definition.

This is a space for the surreal and the subversive — where scissors and glue can splice together new possibilities for how we evolve, identify, and exist.

Visitors;

Who — or what — has arrived? This theme is about presence: mysterious figures, strange silhouettes, beings from elsewhere.

Think of the eerie feeling of being watched, the moment before a door opens, or something alien stepping into the ordinary.

These visitors might be surreal, celestial, absurd, or ghostly. How do they change the world they enter? Use collage to make the invisible visible, or the imaginary real.

The Familiar Made Strange;

Take what you know — a chair, a clock, a spoon — and make it uncanny.

This theme asks you to reimagine the mundane as something mysterious.

Through unexpected combinations, scale shifts, or dislocated contexts, transform the everyday into something eerie or poetic.

Push comfort into discomfort. How can you distort normality just enough to make it unforgettable?
