We are delighted to invite submissions for MiniPrint Cymru | Wales - a collaborative, Wales-wide initiative which supports and celebrates artistic talent and participation in printmaking in Wales through small-scale artwork. We encourage all Wales-based emerging and established artists and printmakers to submit work and be part of this exciting opportunity which connects artistic communities across the regions and showcases the creativity and quality of printmaking in Wales.

Following the success of the pilot project MiniPrint Cymru | Wales in 2023, Swansea Print Workshop and the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art are pleased to be hosting MiniPrint Cymru | Wales in 2025/26.

The ambition of MiniPrint Cymru | Wales is to create a sustainable, Wales-wide biennial opportunity for Wales-based professional and emerging printmakers (see eligibility criteria below),  hosted by Regional Partners on a rotational basis.

MiniPrint Cymru | Wales is currently supported by regional partner organisations: Royal Cambrian Academy of Art (North), Swansea Print Workshop (South), Aberystwyth Printmakers (West) and the Regional Print Centre (East).

Mini prints are artworks contained within a square area of 10cm x 10cm on a paper size measuring 18cm x 18cm. The small-scale format is internationally recognised and emphasises the accessibility, affordability and versatility of printmaking as an artform.

All selected work will be available for sale and exhibited at Mission Gallery, Swansea and at the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art, Conwy. A bilingual publication will accompany the exhibition.

Work will be selected by a respected Selection Panel:

  • Rhian Wyn Stone, Gallery Director, Mission Gallery, Swansea
  • Jude Lau and Tom Whitehead, Directors, Printhaus, Cardiff
  • Andrew Baldwin, Printmaker, Trefeglwys Print Studio, Aberystwyth
  • Ruth Thomas, Printmaker, Ruthin, Denbighshire

The exhibition at Mission Gallery, Swansea will run from Saturday, 8 November 2025 to Saturday, 10 January 2026 and will travel north to the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art, Conwy in 2026 from Saturday, 7 March 2026 to Saturday, 25 April 2026.

All selected exhibitors will be invited to a private view at both venues. All selected artists will receive a free copy of the bilingual publication which will feature their work.

Copies of the publication will be available for sale at the venues throughout the exhibition period, priced at £10 or can be purchased online from Swansea Print Workshop's website (at £10 plus P&P) after the publication date. MiniPrint Cymru | Wales Publication
