I am an artist based in Leeds Alwoodley producing handcrafted, original small edition Drypoint engraving, Linocut and woodcut prints. I enjoy the traditional print process and time spent on each stage using my different skills.
The images are inspired by landmarks around Leeds, including buildings you may walk past on the way to work or to the shops. Seen in a different light the architecture is emphasised so that aspects that maybe weren't noticed before are highlighted. My style is based on years of sketching, particularly of buildings. It utilises black lines and colours to add shadows and depth to the prints.
